‘Haunt’ hailed at Assurdo Film Festival

The Assurdo Film Festival in Italy has awarded ‘Haunt’.

Iranian filmmaker Siamak Kashef-Azar’s short film ‘Haunt’ has been as lauded as one of the best at the 2020 monthly Assurdo Film Festival in Italy.

‘Haunt’, made in 2019, was named the winner of the Best Budget Short Film Award at the August edition of the Assurdo film event in Milan.

‘Haunt’, which made its debut screening at the 15th River's Edge Int’l Film Festival (reiff) in the US, is a 17-min short film about a gambling addict named Reza. Without even knowing it, Reza loses something important during a game. When he comes back home, he looks for a way to escape.

The cast list includes Hamidreza Azarang and Bahar Mohammadpour.

‘Haunt’ was also present in the competition lineup of the 43rd Asian American International Film Festival.

The Assurdo Film Festival is an international monthly cinema festival with the aim to promote films as encounter between people.

The results of the winning films in the various categories will be published at each monthly deadline.
